Today is the first anniversary of X-Man's baptism -- the cold, sunny Sunday last year when he became a Christian and a member of the body of Christ.

We give thanks for the blessing of his life, and the many gifts that God has given him. We are also grateful for his godparents and their families, who continue to pray for him. We hope that X-Man will grow in his love of the Lord every year.

Providentially, today is also the feast of St. Francis Xavier -- the superstar missionary and "apostle to the Indies" who won thousands of souls for Jesus. St. Francis Xavier, pray for us!
